South Carolina football live score updates, highlights, how to watch 2025 spring game (2025)

COLUMBIA — South Carolina football is set for its annual spring game.

The Garnet and Black game in Williams-Brice Stadium kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on April 18, a chance for coach Shane Beamer to measure progress during the spring and expose his new players to the environment of their home stadium.

This year’s game will not be broadcast on linear or digital video, but it will be carried live on 107.5 The Game in the Midlands, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

In the 2024 spring game, then-redshirt freshman quarterback LaNorris Sellers led his team to a 17-0 victory. Just like last year, the team held a draft this week, and Team Garnet and Team Black will be decided based on that format.

Jaron Willis had originally intercepted LaNorris Sellers with 5:15 in the first quarter but the refs reviewed it and said that Willis came from out of bounds back in to catch the ball.

Team Garnet goes three and out on first drive

After Team Black failed to score, Team Garnet went three and out on its first drive of the game.

It wasn't Dante Reno to start the first drive for Team Garnet, despite him being the main quarterback on the roster. Team Black didn't score on the opening drive but did successfully complete a wishbone double pass from LaNorris Sellers to Jordan Dingle.

South Carolina fans won't be able to watch the spring game live but will get a behind-the-scenes look at spring football practice as part of a South Carolina All-Access Practice Show. That will air later this spring and summer on the SEC Network and other ESPN platforms.

According to the program, "ESPN has given SEC member schools the option to either air the spring football game live on the SEC Network or SEC Network+ or provide a 30-minute original spring football show to replace it that would air on ESPN platforms."
